One of the BIGGEST moments from last night’s ACM Awards is something that had never happened before. We had a tie between Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett for Entertainer of the Year.
So how is a tie allowed? What happened?
TasteOfCountry.com dove into the subject and found that ties are allowed at the ACM Awards according to page 14 of the Awards criteria and policy section. “In the case of a tie, all winners will receive an award.” So among around 1,000 voters that vote for the ACM Awards each year, this just happened to be the first time ever we’ve had a tie. Fitting for 2020 right?
