A TV Show Based On Blake Shelton’s’ “God’s Country” Is In The Works

A television series based on Blake Shelton’s hit single, “God’s Country," is in the works at NBC according to Shelton, Las Vegas creator Gary Scott Thompson, and Universal Television. “God’s Country” will tell a story that begins with the father of a hardworking, Midwestern farm family passing away in a car accident and his children discovering that “he was keeping a devastating secret they could never have imagined.”

Shelton released “God’s Country” in March of 2019. It went on to be his 26th #1 single and won Single of the Year at both the 2019 CMA Awards and the 2020 ACM Awards. The song also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance.
