Woman dead after car crashes into creek in Greene County A woman is dead after a car crashed into a creek in Greene County on Friday.

GREENE COUNTY — A 29-year-old woman is dead after a car crashed into a creek in Greene County on Friday.

Around 3:30 p.m., authorities were called to reports of a car upside down in a creek at Selma Jamestown and Gravel Pit roads.

TRENDING STORIES:

An investigation found that a Dodge Journey, driven by 29-year-old Joanne Finch of Springfield, was traveling south on Selma Jamestown Road when her car went off the left side of the road, hit a culvert and a utility pole before hitting an embankment and overturning into a body of water.

Finch died from her injuries on the scene.
