HARRISON TOWNSHIP — A man is dead after he was hit by a car in Harrison Township.

Around 7:05 a.m., crews were dispatched to the intersection of North Main Street and East Orchard Springs Road on reports of a crash.

When deputies arrived, they found a man who had been hit by a car that had left the scene of the crash.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he died.
An investigation found that a white sedan was traveling north on North Main Street when, in the area of East Orchard Springs Drive, the car hit the man who was crossing the street.
Deputies said at this time it is not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
The identity of the man has not yet been released.
