A system-wide ground stop affecting a major airline has been lifted after an IT outage disrupted operations.

Alaska Airlines posted the update on social media.
“At approximately 8 p.m. Pacific (11 p.m. Eastern) on July 20, we experienced an IT outage that resulted in a temporary, system-wide ground stop for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air flights. As of 11 p.m. Pacific, the ground stop has been lifted, and our operations have resumed.”

The outage also impacted Horizon Air Flights in the Pacific Northwest.

The cause of the IT outage is currently unknown.
