VANDALIA — Scene 75 in Vandalia is planning to reopen sometime in November, officials announced on the business' Facebook page.
The entertainment center was hit by not one, but two major misfortunes -- first the Memorial Day tornadoes and then the COVID-19 pandemic..
During the closure, the business has constructed a few new attractions, including an indoor roller coaster and a double-deck carousel. Officials with Scene 75 have teased more announcements about new attractions in the weeks leading up to the reopening.
A specific date has not yet been announced.
In July, Jonah Sandler, Scene 75′s founder and CEO told WHIO the post-tornado renovations have been delayed because of the pandemic.
“There’s a shortage on materials, probably. And it’s just hard to find somebody to get something done because everybody is busy doing renovation work. Putting roofs on. There’s still some houses that don’t have roofs," Sandler said in the summer.
