ROCHESTER, Minn. — A Minnesota man is facing murder charges after his pregnant ex-girlfriend and her toddler daughter were found dead in a Rochester home.
According to KTTC, authorities arrested Renard Lydell Carter, 29, of Rochester, late Monday in Columbia, South Carolina, on two counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder of an unborn child, Rochester police said in a news release.
Rochester Police has identified the double homicide suspect as 29-year-old Renard Carter of Rochester. Police say he was on his way to SC to kill an ex girlfriend after Carter reportedly killed his pregnant girlfriend and her 2-year-old daughter. The arrest came a day after the bodies of Keona Sade Foote, 23, who was pregnant, and her 2-year-old daughter, Miyona Zayla Miller, were discovered in their apartment in the Olympik Village complex in Rochester, the release said. Miyona was not Carter’s daughter, police said.
Authorities have not revealed how the victims died, but autopsies are planned, according to the news release.
