Woman wanted for role in killing nabbed after commenting on Tulsa PD post seeking her capture

TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa woman sought in connection with a relative’s murder was arrested Thursday — hours after commenting on a police department Facebook post about her case.

Lorraine Latoya Graves, 24, is charged as an accessory to murder. As of Tuesday, she remained in the Tulsa County Jail, where she is being held in lieu of a $250,000 surety bond.

Graves was the Tulsa Police Department’s “Weekly Most Wanted” last week. She was sought in a March 13 shootout that killed Eric Graves, 30, at the St. Thomas Square Apartments.

Authorities said Lorraine Graves and Eric Graves were related, but their relationship was not made public.

Detectives released photos of Lorraine Graves on social media on Wednesday, asking the public for information on her whereabouts. It didn’t take long for Graves herself to comment on the department’s Facebook post.

“Where’s the reward money at?” Graves wrote, according to a screenshot of the since-deleted comment.

Other commenters quickly responded.

“Giiiirl, you better stay off social media,” one woman wrote. “They can track you!”

“Ain’t gonna be as funny when you get processed,” a man chimed in.

Investigators armed with a fugitive warrant tracked Graves down Thursday afternoon and took her into custody. Police officials shared a photo of a cuffed Graves offering the camera a grin as she sat awaiting the booking process.

Lorraine Graves is not the only person facing charges related to Eric Graves’ homicide. Two brothers, Gabriel Raylee Hopson, 20, and Jayden Duane Hopson, 19, are accused of planning an ambush on Eric Graves in March due to a prior disagreement, police officials said.

The alleged plot was carried out in one of the apartments at the complex.

Graves returned fire before being killed.

Jayden Hopson was shot in the groin during the homicide, authorities said. A second man inside the apartment that night was also injured, but both men survived.

Both Hopson brothers are charged with first-degree murder, as well as gun charges, according to court records.
